It's like a movie,
The way me and you used to be,
Everything going to plan,
Just to have a twist in the plot,
I remember the warmth of your hand,
The way you called me hot,
Now I lay here and think,
About how I'm just another chain made of links,
Connecting to you,
But being in a special kind of hell you so often put me through,
So many different kinds of pain,
Played out like a simple child's game,
The beat of a drum,
The popping of someone's bubble gum,
Keeps me thinking of you,
The way we were a perfect two,
As I lay and write these words,
I think of your wrinkled shirts,
And the girls chasing you in herds,
I can't help but feel like dirt,
I can no longer listen to that band,
Or justify the way you land,
So perfectly into my heart,
So perfectly into my form of art,
Doesn't make me even a little sad,
But a whole bucket of mad,
How it is not fair,
That you so freely get my heart to rip and tear?
I'm done,
Seeing as how you've already moved on
