Night Fallen

So this blog was meant to be totally private but I got talked into letting it be public, please don't let me regret that. A lot of my poetry is really dark and depressing but that is because I tapped into that particular emotion when writing it. It does NOT mean that I am depressed or anything of the sort. Keep that in mind. This is a run off from theamazingstaci.blogspot.com and because of that it is still written and copyrighted to and by The Amazing Staci. My work is really important to me, it is how I express myself when I can't just break down and cry, or tell someone how I feel. A lot of this stuff just comes to me but it does serve a purpose to help us as human beings to become better as individuals. Love you all I hope you enjoy what I write. =) Tell me what you think via comment. I LOVE COMMENTS! They help The Amazing Staci Stay Amazing. :D So please help me stay Amazing.

Sword of Steel

I wrote this last night for a class project. I like it, but it seems like it needs some...oomph. Little more detail...

I am a sword of steel ringing right and true,
I wonder what life has in store,
I hear the pain crashing through you like the merciless waves on the shore,
I see anger’s rugged path winding its way through you,
I want to feel your love, not your blood,
I am a sword of steel ringing right and true,

I pretend to be the air in your lungs, giving you life,
I feel like every day is a never ending battle,
I touch the warmth of my worry that is my guide back to the light,
I worry I won’t be able to again climb back in the saddle,
I cry from the nightmares of everything I hate turning into you,
I am a sword of steel ringing right and ringing true,

I understand I’ve got to be strong,
I say whatever is troubling my battle weary mind,
I dream of the day we vanquish from the world all that is wrong,
I try to inspire the troops of the light with my every written line,
I hope my message will finally get through,
I am a sword of steel ringing right and true

Bewitched

I wrote this with a little inspiration from a friend, and man, and a man friend. Yeah, I think it is awesome, so you know what? You should tell me what you think. =)

With a flip of the hair,
Cracking like a whip,
And a swish of a feminine hip,
Another flick of the wrist,
I've got you under my spell,
With a glare like ice,
You hide it well,
But, oh my dear you can't help but roll the dice,
And see that I win,
You deny the truth,
But I know you know by the set of your chin,
So like a ghost I stay aloof,
Poor darling, you think you've rid yourself of me,
Enjoy the false taste of victory,
Letting you see what you want to see,
I pull the rug right out from under you,
Your heart hits the ground with a resounding thud,
Shadowing you with what is really true,
Oh, my poor baby, you big thug,
Now you know,
None of it was real,
It was all just a show,
With the kick of a studded heal,
And the breaking of a jar,
I'm off in the night sky,
Never too far

Heart Beat

I just wrote this, and yet again, it doesn't flow very well but I like the gist of it. Let me know what Y'all think.

I'm screaming and yelling,
Waiting for them to hear me,
Knowing if my voice continues to go unheard,
It will be the death of me as a being,
The death of my every last word,
Watching and waiting,
For them to desire to know,
What is going on behind the mask of gold,
Who's eyes are that leaking blood form the soul?
Trapped in this desolate world,
All on me own,
Listening in misery,
Waiting to move to their beat,
Knowing they're all watching , looking at my feet,
The tempo thuds in my ribs,
I start to move my hips,
Suddenly I get why they are laughing,
I finally get what is happening,
I don't hear their drum,
I hear my own,
They can scorn me if they wish,
But it will not stop me from making this sound,
It will only tear them down,
I finally open my mouth and let it all out,
Suddenly their opinion of me,
Is not what it used to be,
Would you look at that?
I've finally earned their respect,
Unfortunately for them I don't seem to care,
To each his own burden to bear,
We're only human,
Every last one of us,
Every child, man, and woman,
None are perfect,
Yet that seems to be what we all expect,
I'm trying to get them to see,
It is not me that they should fear,
It is not listening to their own  heart beat

Second childhood

I wrote this in remembrance of our childhood. I miss being a kid sometimes yet being older has its benefits. Tell me what you think and if you could go back would you go back.

It's amazing to me,
Looking back on how things used to be,
When we were young the world was all fun,
Some would call that naive and dumb,
To me those few years were a gift,
Right before the horrid shift,
Into reality,
Into normality

Childhood was so unique and safe,
Playing and running, just going your own pace,
Imigaintation and creation being so important,
Like playing a spy and being and informant,
Remember back to all those summer days,
All the childish games we would play

What would you do if you could go back,
And again play with your train and its tracks?
What would you change,
Or would you leave it all the same?
I miss the days on the swings,
And the way everyone used to sing,
We were invincible,
So untouchable

Then one day we had to grow up,
Now a full grown dog, no longer a pup,
Hating reality,
Missing inculpability,
I wouldn't go back if I had the chance,
Like wearing old, torn pants,
It is pointless because you've already used it,
Now you have to wear the pair that fit

Trying to color outside the lines,
And playing Tarzan, swinging from vines,
Now it seems your swallowed by misery,
Dwelling on an unchanging history,
Look to the future,
It is the part of life that is unsure,
You get to make it,
You get to mix it, stir it, and reshape it.
Being an adult is just like being a kid,
Only this time your big.

Dance Partner

I wrote this this morning. It just came to me and I used as much of it as I could for my Gmail status. Let me know what you think. (Yeah I know it rhymes and then doesn't so it does not flow very well but I don't care. It is still art.)

I dance the dance of my heart.
A dance that no one else is willing to dance with me,
It is as if they are afraid of the way I move,
Knowing they can't keep up,
Or stay in step with the beat,
No they can't take the pressure,
Nor the heat.
I dance this dance alone,
With feet flowing like a river,
And tears flowing just the same,
It is amazing that I am the only one who can do this,
and Suddenly another steps up to the plate,
He sweeps me off my feet,
Dancing perfectly to the beat,
Moving in such a way I can't breathe,
He wraps me up in his arms like a blanket,
Warming me just the same,
I know he is the right one,
Just by the way his breath drives me insane.
It is amazing how he knows this song,
Yet it has never been written down,
Nor played by anyone else,
I can't stand to look away from that face,
It is pulling me to him,
Holding me in my place,
We flow through the room
Like dust in the air
Moving, and sweeping as the grass in the wind
The smell of him is intoxicating,
Making is harder to breathe,
Yet it would be a crime not to let it flow through my nostrils,
The passion of the dance makes it impossible to stop,
Like asking the ocean to be silent,
I know this dance, for it comes from my heart,
And I ask him how he knows it, his answer is the same,
So I have finally found my dancing partner,
The world is about to change.

Losing you

I just wrote this. I had a few people in mind when I wrote it, but please know a few have a chance to turn into a happy ending. Yes, contrary to the one in this poem I do believe in happy endings.
Dry your eyes my dear,
Forcing me to watch you cry isn't fair,
I can't help no matter how hard I try,
It's like watching you slowly waste away and die,
What did I do to deserve this?
I'm melting, slowly turning into a mess,
You're always pushing me away,
But I try so hard to hold my ground and stay,
A vibrant hostility washes throughout me,
The anger within ignites seeming to dissolve everything into a colorless sea,
I'm afraid of being broken,
You're a red fire too hot to even be smokin',
I don't want to leave you to your self,
Instead I'm hiding like a book on your shelf,
You're withered and torn,
Broken down by the world's scorn,
I want to be the angel to again show you the light,
But you deny to yourself that I'm right,
You close me out yet again,
Leaving my bruised and bleeding heart shaken,
Life hits you like a storm in the bay,
You're a night creature, hiding from the day,
It seems you're lost and sinking,
Left to hollow, soundless screaming,
The world clouds your sensory,
Dragging you down into their misery,
I want to give you my tender assistance,
Take you in and teach you with a careful guidance,
Like a baby from a bottle I feed you my philosophy,
Attempting to drag you out of your dark repeating agony,
I want you to take a taste of life,
Instead you lick the razor of the knife,
So now you're left pouring out your lifeblood,
Like being dragged down in a river of mud,
You're swept away by the current,
Screaming as it swallows  you in an angry tyrant,
Now you lay on its rocky river bank,
Body unmoving and lank,
I tried to run to your rescue,
You're blind of your value,
Although to me you are nothing less than priceless,
Now I'm holding you in my arms almost lifeless,
Like tears dripping in the sink,
My eyes are left bloodshot, swollen, and pink,
Why couldn't you seem to listen?
You called my decision to save you a useless mission,
Now do you see the destruction you've reaped upon my defenseless heart?
Even though I tried hard as I could to exhort,
I'm left with nothing more than my unwanted love for you,
I miss the real you

Don't want to hear it

I wrote this one just now. I like it, but it seems like it needs something...Let me know what Y'all think.
Whispering to me like a dark cloud,
I force myself to drown you out,
Just trying to so hard to forget,
Ignoring all the painful regrets,
Looking down at my empty hand,
I remember that party all covered in sand,
Pen splattering ink,
Water drizzling in the sink,
I remember what used to be,
Seeing you standing here before me,
Is ripping me in half,
Being forced to choose a path,
I want to hold you,
Even though I feel the urge to run from you too,
You're face is causing me so much pain,
Your scent is driving me insane,
Shadow in the dark,
Creeping along into my innocent heart,
Waiting to drown,
Like falling into the ground,
So much misery,
As you completely over load my sensory,
Quietly contemplating,
Holding myself back from running,
You attempt to tell me your story,
Insisting that you're so very sorry,
I'm so incredibly dismayed,
So very misplaced,
Wherever we go girls shoot me dirty looks,
You hate hiding in all the nooks,
Even though it's where you're miserable,
It is where I'm the most comfortable,
So baby, why can't you seem to see,
You're the wrong one for me?

My Angel

I am as happy as a bird for her,
And will be as beautiful as an angel,
I wonder who started the hard math that is the angle,
I hear a laugh that is gone as yesterday's song bird,
I see a face that is quiet but always heard,
I want to runaway and cry,
But that just wouldn't be right,
I am as happy as a singing bird for her and will be as beautiful as an angel.

I pretend my smile inside did not die,
I feel her watching eye,
I touch her missing memory,
I worry she is being filed away with an Emory,
I cry every time I remember she's not there,
I am as happy as a singing bird for her ans will be as beautiful as an angel
I understand I can never again feel her hair,
She is waiting, standing there,
I dream she is whispering in my ear,
I try to make is so they won't see my tear,
I hope my heart won't rip and tear,
I am as happy as a singing bird for her and will be as beautiful as an angel.

A guy

I want a guy who plays guitar,
With a smile that'll stop my heart,
I want a guy who will love me for who I am,
Who loves to just hold me to him,
I want a guy who's favorite color's green,
A guy that doesn't care I am not lean,
I want a guy who's got these beautiful blue eyes,
A guy who's warmth makes my pulse rise,
I want a guy who will just listen,
A guy willing to go on a mission,
I want a guy who will hold me tight,
A guy with that sweet inner light,
I want a guy who walks like the rain,
Who understands my secret pains,
I want a guy who does not care what everyone else sees,
A guy who loves me just because I am me,
I want a guy who shines like the sun,
A guy who will never run,
I want a guy who will call me beautiful,
With the heart of a poet, oh so wonderful,
I want a guy who will stay on the phone,
Whispering to me his heart's poem,
I want a guy who'll make me smile,
A guy who's words flow like the Nile,
I want a guy with the voice of an angel,
Who thinks I'm pretty from every angle,
I want a guy who knows I can't be tamed,
One who would never be ashamed,
I want to find my soul mate,
Filter through all the anger, all the hate,
So come home to me today,
Come home to stay

Leaving Me Sinking

I wrote this a while back and finally found it in my locker. Be warned it is one of my sadder ones.

Song of my heart,
Mystery of my mind,
Blood in my veins,
Pain taking hold of a wounded heart,
Eyes made of ice,
Heart made of gold,
Smile bright as the sun,
And seems to shatter it

That heart of gold is priceless,
Yet you seem to give it away to her so freely,
That sun bright smile leaves me in the dark,
Drowning in heartbreak I reach out to you,
But instead you grab her hand, not mine

Leaving me sinking,
Ice looks right into me,
Seeming to take the price of my soul,
Golden heart hidden behind glass,
Sun  kissed smile nowhere in sight,
Song of my heart drowned out,
Mystery of my mind open as a book,
Bood in my veins spilled upon these pages,
Wounded heart stuttering to a slow, unsteady beat

You walk away,
Turning your back on what was,
And what could've been,
I'm left in the dark with  no one to hear me,
No one to listen,
She is put on display on your arm,
And in your heart,
Waiting for you to see her soul like poison,
I cry, knowing I will have to pick up the pieces of that golden heart ,
Afraid that they will turn to stone,
As well as that smile will become unknown.

You're leaving me sinking,
Afraid of the future,
Afraid you'll not listen to what I try to say,
I wasn't born a mute,
Yet it seems I can't talk to you,
I will always be here to listen,
I will always hear what you have to say,
Please know that even though you're leaving me sinking,
I will always be here to hold you up,
To help you stand tall,
Through the thick, through the thin, through it all.
